Bigger than a Building: Celebrating a Team that will Inspire the Future

Kriss Ziegler started out as a Seasonal Coach in RSLE. They were passionate about staying on during the off season, which wasn’t a guarantee for seasonal staff, and one of the stipulations for staying was working as an elf in Jolly Days. Snickerdoodle; Knight of the Sprinkle Forest was up for the job. At the end of the 2nd RSLE season they were promoted to Coaching lead, and assisted with training new staff, leading “Museum at Home” videos during the 2020 closure, re-writing programs during the COVID 19 pandemic, and general operations and event support. Kriss moved into the Admin role in 2023, learning about all things budget, finance, and excel while continuing to assist with event and operation support and on the floor needs. Kriss is an active member of the Accessibility and Inclusion team, always looking for ways to ensure that everyone of all abilities can enjoy playing sports with their friends and family. Kriss graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication with a minor in Sociology. While not at the museum, Kriss enjoys sports, mainly soccer & basketball, trying new restaurants, and learning how to be a homeowner.
